Senior Technician - Vietnam

Role SummaryThe Senior Garment Technician is responsible for a comprehensive support to the factory that assesses sample quality process capabilities, advises on areas for sample making and ensures compliance to the standards associated with each technical process for individual Customers. As a key member of the team, provides accurate reports on the performance of the factory and emphasises any non-compliance in all areas of technical application. Ensure each factory to produce samples "Right First Time, Every Time" and therefore reduce rework, eliminate any quality issue and provide a significant reduction in time consuming and costs. Accountabilities• Introduce effective methods, including workplace engineering, for the sample manufacturing processes• Promote good team spirit between relevant vendor, QA team and Merchandising Units to align to Brand strategy• To create an appropriate basic block which accepted by individual Brands/Customers and ensure factory has used the agreed basic block for new sample pattern modification• Offer expertise in solving pattern, fitting, sewing, workmanship problems and provides technical advice for improvementResponsibilities• Document and audit Standard Operating Procedures for sample submission• Review Tech Packs to ensure all technical specifications are required by the customers• Monitor the sample quality performance to meet customers' specifications and compliance with technical package• Collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible.
