Senior Wordpress Dev PHP/JavaScript

Position Overview:

As part of Shutta's development team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our Wordpress VIP websites. You will work closely with our design team, developer lead and delivery manager to successfully implement all our CMS based digital products.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Responsible for developing cutting edge web solutions for our international clients
• Collaborate with the product lead and project team to define and implement innovative solutions for the technical design.
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, continuous integration, design patterns, devops, etc.). Comply with the coding standards (SDLC guidelines) - Unit Tests.
• Ensure that technical solutions can cover functionality and stability.
• Perform code review of colleagues, perform testing and debugging of products.
• Research new technologies and existing libraries.
• Support your colleagues and junior members with coding issues and evaluate their performance.

Essential:

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• At least 4 years of experience as a PHP Developer
• Experience with Wordpress (At least 1 years experience)
• You are well versed in best practices in OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles
• Familiar with the usage of HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ Ajax or related technique for WEB application development
• Familiar with memcache or Redis
• Good knowledge of MySQL and db optimisation
• Good knowledge of CI/ CD management tools
• Good english skills

Desirable:

• Previous work experience with Wordpress VIP, Amazon Web Services and/or ACQUIA
• Comfortable working with Linux server, deployment and configuration (Apache/Nginx/Varnish/APC/Memcached/Redis)
• Experience with Kubernetes or EKS
• BS/MS in Computer Science
• Knowledge of other frameworks like [protected info] and [protected info]
• Experience with automating SSL certificates using Greenlock and let'sencrypt
• Takes part in web development communities.
