THE OPPORTUNITY
At VinUniversity, our mission is to create the first world-class student affairs office in Vietnam with an aim to provide the best experience to our students and the parents.
The Officer will play a key role in building a strong community of students, staff, and faculty by collaborating with all units of the university to ensure that a vibrant, educationally purposeful, co-curricular experience is offered and that quality services are provided to ensure student success and retention. Student Affairs Officer will also support the Head of Student Affairs in designing the conceptual framework and delivering the best experience to the students.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Work with Head of Student Affairs and Mental Health taskforce to ensure that health and wellbeing services are consistently promoted and delivered across the college, to outstanding standards, in order to develop student's confidence, resilience and knowledge of coping with their studies and everyday life across all provision types.
• Contribute to university strategy for health and well-being and coordinate to implement action plan in order to meet key performance indicators.
• Design and implement prevention programs for students.
• Managing Peer support programs implemented by students (who were trained).
• Develop and maintain effective partnership working with local health and wellbeing services, early. help/intervention teams and other community partners to ensure timely and effective support, signposting, referrals, and intervention that lead to successful outcomes for students.
• Develop resources for tutorial and other campaigns throughout the academic year in order to raise awareness of related issues and equip all students with strategies to keep themselves physically and emotionally well in everyday life. Supporting with staff training as required.
• Plan for and facilitate the active promotion of health and wellbeing related policies, procedures and systems as requested to support the wider personal development agenda, including the delivery of relevant activities, maintenance of display boards and publicity materials in relation to health and wellbeing service.
• Capture and utilize health and wellbeing data to monitor and report on issues in order to inform and tailor service delivery and improvement, contributing to the development of reports as required.
• Contribute to the development and support the successful implementation of robust policies, procedures and systems needed to keep students physically and emotionally healthy.
• Undertake regular professional development to ensure health and wellbeing practices are relevant and the college is equipped to address student needs and any new emerging themes/initiatives.
• Other requested tasks and projects related to students (Ex: coordinating Advising program for freshman).

- Experience of providing brief interventions/ support is great advantage.
Personal Skills and Attitudes
- Strong organizing, planning and co-ordination skills.
- Excellent customer service skills & communication skill.
- Display initiative, be positive and enthusiastic.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at VinUniversity. For this role, the candidate need to have an excellent written and verbal communication skill in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 6.5 (or equivalent).
