We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee the
purchasing function for both BOM (Bill of Materials) and Non-BOM items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and cost optimization within the aerospace manufacturing industry. This role ensures procurement activities align with production schedules, quality standards, and company objectives while complying with industry regulations and certifications (AS9100, FAA, etc.).
1. Control & Process Improvement
• Analyze supplier control results and propose process improvements.
• Manage corrective actions from internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
• Prepare for certification/re-certification audits and authorizations.
2. Training & Team Management
• Update and implement training plans for procurement staff.
• Conduct internal training on procurement procedures and maintain training records.
3. Procurement Planning & Execution
• Prepare and review the annual Supply Plan with senior management.
• Analyze Epicor MRP system forecasts for procurement planning.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages impacting production.
• Oversee purchase orders in the Epicor system, ensuring timely supplier deliveries.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and operational teams to streamline procurement.
• Adjust supply plans as needed to address changing production requirements.
4. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
• Assist in bid preparation and management for procurement programs.
• Compare supplier price quotes and negotiate to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Secure short- and long-term supply contracts with favorable pricing and terms.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with purchase order conditions.
• Track order execution and inform relevant departments of material arrivals.
5. Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
• Participate in supplier meetings to discuss quality, delivery performance, and forecasting alignment.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement guidelines and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working with global suppliers, contract negotiations, and cost optimization strategies.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or operations within a manufacturing industry
- Strong background in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
