Brief Job Description:
Plan, perform and manage the application of standard engineering methods and techniques on multidisciplinary controls projects under the direction of the Product Managers.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
Plan, perform and manage the application of standard engineering methods and techniques on multidisciplinary controls projects under the direction of the Product Managers.
Assist in development of standard and custom software, defining new and advanced features required and manage schedule of each projects.
Assist with specification, design and layout of control systems for Asia Thermal Management Products.
Assist and review Thermal Management control systems including the design, controls panels and electrical schematics.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering documents that may include: Control Drawings, Sequence of Operations, Interface requirements, and Functional Specifications
Develop technical documents to support local and field team in Asia on various areas of Control & Monitoring application as necessary.
Provide Control & Monitoring training, start up and commissioning guide documentation.
Connect unit control via the Internet, modems, and other communication formats for remote troubleshooting and finding root cause.
Coordinate Thermal Control system's ethernet and IT requirements with internal IT operations.
Provide support on interface issue on multiple communication protocols such as SNMP, BACnet, and Modbus and having experience using troubleshooting tools/software.
Assist marketing in preparing Asia Thermal Control and Monitoring related materials.
Travel to countries in the region to provide support in the field when necessary (after International Travel lifted)
Qualifications
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology or Visual Basic or C++ with Database programming experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience with HVAC Control System/Building Automation System & Industrial Control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
Understand electrical systems, appropriate codes, and mechanical standards
Ability to install controls systems when required
Strong computer skills for networking control systems and software.
Knowledge of BAS/BMS systems, ALC, Andover, Tridium, Delta Controls or others.
Basic to advanced AutoCAD proficiency, Microsoft office suite, and basic windows environment
Must speak fluent Mandarin and English (Note: Needs to communicate frequently with R&D team or other departments in China organization)
Working knowledge of 3 years in built up mechanical systems such as HVAC Control and VAV air systems
Ability to diagnose mechanical systems and controls
Attend customer meeting presenting control solution and provide technical clarification
Hands-on experience with control engineering and programming
Field experience in installation, testing & PID tuning of HVAC equipment.
