Transport and Customs Manager

PURPOSE: We are seeking a dynamic and highly collaborative Transport & Customs Manager to lead the strategic export logistics and trade compliance for our critical South East Asia sourcing network. This high-impact role oversees the flow of 20,000 TEU exported annually from Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia to over 20 global destinations. You will be a Change Catalyst, directly responsible for empowering a team to provide agile solutions while delivering the best ratio of Lead Time, Price, and Environmental performance. This is a managerial role focused on both people development and strategic end-to-end value chain optimization.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Transformational Leadership and Team Empowerment:
- Talent Development and Happiness: Directly manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture that guarantees their development, happiness, and high autonomy. You will be responsible for Human Management duties including recruitment, coaching, performance debriefs, and salary reviews.
-Change Management: Act as the Change Catalyst who initiates new ideas, leads team members in new directions, and drives optimization projects. You must create an environment that encourages a problem-solving thinking culture.
-Networking and Collaboration: Create and facilitate robust internal and external networks, ensuring a strong collaboration mode with Production and Service teams to align on the common Supply KPI.
2.High-Volume Export Operations and Financial Health:
-Logistics Performance: Guarantee the operational performance and financial health of all Export Transportation & Customs activities. Manage the flow of goods from over 30 suppliers and coordinate with approximately 10 transport service providers.
-Financial and Cost Strategy: Drive the network toward OPEX reduction. Ensure the financial health status of T&C activities through PnL Management and continuous Cost Optimization.
-Compliance and Service: Maintain high standards of Safety & security at the CFS Warehouse (for Export) and ensure exceptional customer service/orientation towards internal and external partners.
3. Strategic Project Management & Value Chain Optimization:
- Global Project Leadership: Directly participate in and lead local execution for major global initiatives from the Global Upstream Transport. Actively contribute as a member of the Flowfit Community for continuous flow optimization.
- Process Improvement: Drive projects to optimize the value chain, ensuring you are creating the environment of optimizing and innovating the processes and leading the change.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans with a visionary outlook, leveraging your expertise in Transport & Customs market benchmark to acquire the right resources for future projects.
