Vietnam EHS & PS Specialist

• Successful incumbent will be based in Yen Phong, North Vietnam. He/she will support PPG operations footprint in Vietnam. Primarily location but not limited to are Yen Phong, Amata, Min Lian, Yung Chi, HCM City office and VN TSSR team.
• Support each sites operations to develop/implement annual EHS KPIs and work plans driven by the business needs and their PLP
• Conduct the monthly review EHS leadership meeting with each SBU/Site operations to review the EHS performance and provide the follow up technical supports
• As confirmed by the PPG management team, if needed, provide daily EH&S management and technical support in PPG facility to:
a. Establish and implement EHSMS effectively to achieve yearly EHS objectives/targets
b. Conduct the on job EHS training for site PPG staffs, relevant managers/engineers /operators
c. Develop/implement the corrective action plans appropriately for corporate/regional EHS & PS audit, third party EHS & PS audit, accident/incident follow up & prevention, and other EHS & PS findings
d. Coordinate the EHSMS internal audit based on PPG requirements
e. Promote various of EHS programs, ultimately create a safety culture in PPG Vietnam
• Coordinate, maximize and share the existing EHS & PS resources in PPG to develop and implement the specific EHS & PS programs driven by the business needs, such as:
f. PPG EHS Requirements
g. PPG EHS management system
h. PSIT
i. Major EHS programs in the sites (AM/FP, fire safety, chemical spill, etc.)
j. Other PPG Corporate EHS initiatives
• To provide hazard communication (SDSs and Label content), regulatory compliance support as it relates to the development, manufacture, sale, and distribution of products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards for the Vietnam.
• To ensure compliance with VN laws related to chemical inventory and assist in upload any new registration into VNCI online system.
• Assists in performing product stewardship reviews. Participates in maintaining and improving the Product Stewardship Implementation Tools.
• Assist in preparing information to share with a wide variety of PPG functions including marketing, technical, legal, purchasing, product management, supply chain, customer service, technical service, and IT, such heavy metal, restricted substance, and customer response etc. Assist in developing and providing product stewardship training and expertise for applicable personnel. May engage in basic communications with external entities within defined boundaries.
• Able to support low to moderate complexity and associated risks (i.e. multiple SBU segments, countries, regulations, number/diversity of product lines, end uses, customer complexity). Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures. Work with the global PS leaders to comply with PPG global standards, implement best practices, knowledge sharing, etc
