Warehouse Supervisor (Trucking + Custom)

Purpose/Summary:

- Responsible for the CL operations for all nominated clients

- To execute the WND Operations & Business Plan as it applies to CL operations

- To ensure operational excellence in CL operations

- To support CL process & system development initiatives

- Execute trucking, custom for export shipment



Key Responsibilities:

- Generally manage all Maersk CL operation activities at the nominated facility

- To ensure strict execution of the SOP / IOP of the clients

- Discuss directly with Customer any issues relating to daily operations including IOP or new procedure or additional requirement to ensure receiving / storage / loading cargo smoothly and meet client's request.

- Ensure that HSSE is executed in line with Maersk initiatives at all times

- Follow up on target KPI's and recommend process improvements and adopt lean logistics practices and a continuous improvement mindset:

- Plan for peak operations

- Effectively handle customers' complaint which occur (because of Maersk error or other) during operations at the CL

- Report directly & timely any troubles or problems which cannot be solved from CL to the Operations Manager

- Assign duty & functions of each team member and follow up their performance

- Arrange the effective working of team member to ensure they can back-up each other's prime responsibility

- Work in conjunction with Maersk HR for recruiting, training, warning, terminating the labor contract and paying employee interests according to Vietnam labor law

- Follow up administration issues for day by day labor requirements

- Organize and attend necessary weekly and monthly meetings with Supervisors and/or labor groups to understand and deal with any issues and to issue timely instruction on changes or improvements when required

- Follow up & supervise duty working of security, maintenance, administration section

- Responsibility to work with maintenance section for fixing or improving the facility's properties when damaged.

- Responsibility to work with external security guards to make sure staff, cargo & property operate in a safe and secure environment and to meet the requirement of customers and Maersk

- Coordinate the relocation of stevedores, tallymen, forklift drivers, documents staff from & to CL & WND if appropriate to support high workloads of receiving or loading activity and to optimize labor utilization

- Control & check all operations as well as maintenance activity at warehouse including checking of relevant invoices of its fee and other relative expenses

- Assure cost control mind set and cost control measures are practiced in the facilities

- Follow up & assign OT working for workforce. Responsibility for submit monthly report to CL Operation Manager on time & accurately

- Assist WH Operations Manager in ad-hoc tasks of operations at warehouse in case of need

- Make trucking plan base on customer demand.

- Follow up with trucker to control their performance in leadtime of delivery

- Ensure that KPI's are produced in full and on time

- Develop & follow up recommendation on targets & KPI's

- Strengthen team through training and development.

- Establish career development and succession plan for key employees at facility
