AI-First Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

As an AI-First Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling AI-driven commerce, logistics, and operational solutions for Buymed's platform. You will work across both backend and frontend-building seamless user experiences, integrating AI-powered automations, and improving system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Enhanced Development - Use AI-powered coding assistants, automation tools, and LLM-based solutions to improve speed and efficiency in development.
• Feature Development - Build and maintain high-performance, AI-powered full-stack applications that optimize Buymed's seller, checkout, and logistics experiences.
• Backend Engineering - Develop and refine scalable microservices using Golang, Java, or [protected info] while optimizing database performance (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Frontend Excellence - Develop responsive and intuitive interfaces using React, [protected info], and TypeScript, integrating AI-driven recommendations and personalization.
• AI-Powered Search & Personalization - Work with LLMs, embeddings, and vector search to improve product discovery and user experience.
• Automation & CI/CD - Optimize workflows using AI-powered DevOps tools, containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration & Agile Development - Work closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams to integrate AI into business processes and improve decision-making.
• Mentorship & Innovation - Guide other engineers, contribute to AI-first engineering best practices, and champion AI adoption within the organization.

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong background in modern web applications.
• Proficiency in Golang, Java, or [protected info] for backend services.
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and [protected info] for frontend development.
• Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Comfort using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted code review, automated testing frameworks).
• Understanding of LLM-powered search, embeddings, and AI-driven automation.
• Experience in containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• A growth mindset, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to adopt new AI-driven technologies.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in eCommerce, B2B marketplaces, or logistics platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Knowledge of AI-powered recommendation systems, personalization, and predictive analytics.
• Exposure to LLMs for chatbot development, AI-driven customer interactions, or workflow automation.
• Experience working in a multinational company or distributed teams.
