Automation Tester - ENG GOOD - DU33
Position Overview
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
Build and maintain automation test cases for end-to-end, integration, regression, and release validation.
Validate frontend functionality, business logic, user workflows, API interactions, and system integrations.
Perform both white-box testing and black-box testing for modern web applications.
Read and analyze frontend source code to identify potential issues, quality risks, and root causes.
Review application architecture and code changes to assess possible impact on product quality.
Investigate defects across frontend, backend, API, and integration layers.
Validate frontend-backend communication, authentication/authorization flows, and asynchronous workflows.
Collaborate closely with Frontend Engineers, Backend Engineers, Product Managers, and
Designers.
Participate in UAT, release testing, and production readiness validation.
Contribute to test strategy, QA process improvement, automation best practices, and continuous quality improvement.
Support or contribute to AI/agentic QA systems or testing loops when applicable.
Job Requirements
Must-have Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
Solid experience in designing, building, and maintaining automation test frameworks.
Experience with end-to-end testing, regression testing, integration testing, white-box testing, and black-box testing.
Strong understanding of test strategy, test design, test planning, and defect analysis.
Good knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, React, and [protected info]
Ability to read, understand, and analyze frontend source code.
Understanding of browser behavior, frontend architecture, and modern web application patterns.
Experience testing complex SaaS or web-based applications.
Strong understanding of API communication, authentication, authorization, and application workflows.
Ability to investigate issues across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
Must be able to write automated test cases independently.
Nice-to-have Requirements
Previous experience as a
Software Engineer, Frontend
Developer, QA Automation Engineer, or SDET.
Experience with API testing and mocking/stubbing techniques.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience working in Agile product development teams.
Experience or knowledge in building AI/agentic QA systems or QA automation loops.
Full-stack knowledge is preferred; strong frontend/UI knowledge is acceptable as fallback.
