Job Summary: Automotive penetration testing, or Pentesting, is a process designed to identify vehicle vulnerabilities by means of hacking into specific components of a vehicle. This proactive way of cybersecurity testing allows for the uncovering of security gaps in a controlled environment.
Role Overview:
Provide technical guidance to project teams to develop the assets definition, cybersecurity goals, cybersecurity concept for the cybersecurity product development.
Scope and perform penetration testing and vulnerability research of complex proprietary software and hardware in Vehicle.
Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems and Vehicle's component. This includes utilizing manual and automated testing methods to find and exploit code flaws, misconfigurations, and insecure software.
Advanced Threat Modeling & Risk Analysis: Conduct in-depth threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) for new and existing automotive systems. Create detailed threat models and implement countermeasures to address vulnerabilities.
Keep cybersecurity training and knowledge current by monitoring the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
Provide recommendations for remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
Write clear and concise penetration testing reports detailing findings and recommendations.
