Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate AV Technician to join our Audio-Visual team at Rixos Phú
Quốc Vietnam. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment, ensuring flawless technical delivery for events, shows, and daily operations.
You will work closely with internal teams, performers, and event organizers to deliver exceptional guest experiences through high-quality sound, visuals, and lighting.
Key Responsibilities
Install, set up, test, and operate audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems
Operate AV systems during live events, shows, meetings, and presentations
Manage live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting control
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure all equipment is in excellent working condition
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally
Repair faulty equipment or coordinate external repairs when required
Support event organizers, presenters, performers, bands, and singers, including sound checks and stage setup in line with technical riders
Maintain accurate records of AV inventory, maintenance schedules, and repair logs
Document setup configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting solutions
Collaborate closely with event coordinators, IT teams, and other departments
Be fully aware of recreation facilities, evening programs, show concepts, and schedules
Ensure all AV areas and equipment are clean, safe, and well-organized

Adhere to Rixos Hotels &
Resorts policies, operational standards, and ISO Integrated Management System requirements
Actively participate in quality improvement, risk management, health & safety, environmental protection, and energy-saving initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement and guest satisfaction programs
Qualifications
Education &
Experience
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Audio-Visual Technology
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar AV role
Hospitality or event environment experience is an advantage
Skills &
Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of professional AV systems
Good communication skills in English
Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and under pressure during live events
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
