Role Description As a BackEnd Intern at AIVision, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend services that power our AI-powered retail and HR solutions. You will help build and optimize APIs, integrate databases, and ensure reliable data flows between systems, working closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve performance. Daily activities include writing clean, maintainable code, assisting with code reviews, documenting features, and participating in team discussions on architecture and best practices.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where you will collaborate directly with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in production-level AI systems.
Qualifications
Foundational backend development skills, such as experience with at least one server-side language (e.g., Python, [protected info], Java) and basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
Database knowledge, including familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and basic skills in writing queries and managing data models.
Understanding of web services and integration, including HTTP protocols, JSON data formats, and working with third-party APIs.
Software engineering fundamentals, such as version control (Git), debugging, unit testing, and documentation practices.
Interest in AI and data-driven systems, with a willingness to learn how backend services support machine learning pipelines and analytics.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
Good written and spoken communication skills in English; Vietnamese language skills are an advantage.
Previous internship, personal projects, or open-source contributions related to backend development are a plus.
