POSITION PURPOSE
To lead the Commercial Development of T&G's business in the Vietnam market, with a focus on both modern and traditional channels and key products (Apples) from the T&G Global portfolio. Focus on growing our overall sales and profit through control of our own products, execution of the strategic sales plan, and sound financial decisions. Grow through existing channels and customers, as well as seeking new opportunities.
The Business Development Manager will need to:
• Lead the Commercial Projects Development - develop new business opportunities through building strategic Business Plan: New Channels, New Customers, New Programs for Retail & wholesale - Projects Building, Planification, Budget & execution
• Work closely with Marketing
• Research, plan, budget and execute the overall Sales plan for Vietnam.
• Develop relationships with retailers at an operational level, confirming sell in, promotion & new programs/opportunities.
• Manage relationships with distribution partners at an operational level to keep them high performing, aligned and adherent to T&G objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Business Management
• Deliver and exceed revenue, volume, and profit targets by focusing on sales drivers (distribution, visibility, pricing, merchandising/promotions etc).
• Determine short- and long-term route to market strategies to achieve company strategic goals.
• Enhance sales management policies and processes to ensure effective use of time and optimal profit margins.
• Create an environment where marketing investment is constantly monitored and evaluated to ensure best possible ROI.
• Build effective and sustainable partnerships with important customers and distributors.
2. Sales Management
• Manage joint business plans with our major direct accounts and distribution partners at the operational level, to reach the agreed targets for sales through the respective channels.
• Develop sales forecasts monthly/yearly by product/channel and determine short- and long-term route to market strategies to achieve company strategic goals.
• Enhance sales management policies and processes to ensure effective use of time and optimal profit margins.
• Execute day to day sales process with all customers in line with the overall company plans and objectives.
3. Support & Communication
• Co-operate with and support the wider T&G team.
• Proactively engage with traders and country export managers in sourcing regions to cooperate and build opportunities for sales programs in Vietnam.
• Communicate relevant industry information with internal and external partners.
• Actively participate in training/meetings.
• Demonstrate strong integrity, openness and respect to build a strong team environment within T&G Vietnam.
4. Health & Safety
• Lead by example on all safety matters.
• Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to assist with the implementation of the company's H&S Policy and Procedures and given action.
• Reduction of accidents, incidents, hazards, near misses, and injuries including property damage.
• Ensure all incidents, accidents, hazards, near misses and injuries including property damage are recorded through the company Health & Safety tool.
