Chief Development

Reporting to: Production Manager
Incharge: Sample team, Pattern and Marker Makers
Key job tasks of Chief Development Sample:
• Control the design sample development products. Work with pattern maker, sample technician and merchandiser to ensure samples are produced of high quality for customers and are suitable for the production line.
• Be responsible for technical changes from customers (updating to related devision if some changes happen in production against last PPS)
• Ensure that sales samples are developed to meet the requirements of the sales person and in an acceptable time frame.
• Manage the sample schedule, communicating with sales, merchandisers to ensure everyone is aware of the output.
• Ensure samples are made in the best method for factory production. (working with Chief factory Technician )
• Study and confirm specs/samples/trim cards before production. Record all problems/issues faced during development sample, sharing problem & difficulties with the related devision after making 1st samples and keep updating to PPS to reduce problem of first time making in production.
• Working with IE the operation breakdown for new styles.
• Conduct PP meeting with Production Team, include sub-contractors.
• Ensure PPS approval, pattern markers and templates are ready as Production Plan
• Support line leader and technician the best way to handle difficult operation.
• Be responsible for all the test required such as buttonning, heat transfer label, washing test & confirm for those new developped items.
• Be responsible for BOM & consumption for purchasing (including checking & clarifying with Merchandisers if some differences between teck pack & actual use in sample before finallising BOM & consumption for purchasing).
