Chief Representative Officer

Job duties and responsibilities:
- Reporting to Managing Director of Salzgitter Mannesmann International (Asia) Pte Ltd, Singapore.
- Representing all Salzgitter Group companies in Vietnam.
- Building and maintaining relationships with steel mills in the country for exports, requesting quotations/offers against enquiries from Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH, Germany; and negotiating on their behalf. Monitoring back office, documentation and communication with Germany and the supplying mills.
- Proactively establishing and promoting new sources for all steel products to overseas Group companies.
- Maintaining existing regional trade and developing import business with new customers with a focus on niche steel products into Vietnam.
- Arranging and accompanying visitors from overseas for mill visits and meetings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in steel or related commodity trading or logistics, with a proven track record.
- Preferably already having established relationships and experience with Vietnam steel producers and/or customers.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English is a must, both orally and written. Additional languages such as Chinese or German would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of international trade and dealing with different cultures.
- Some experience in managing a small team.
- Confident, hands-on and dynamic individual, looking to work in an international environment.
