The Canadian International School System - Vietnam (CISS-VN) is a collection of schools operating in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. CISS-VN consists of:
1. Canadian International School (CIS)
Serving Pre-Grade 1 to Grade 12, CIS offers a world-class education through the Ontario curriculum. Students can choose between two prestigious pathways: the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), both preparing them for global success.
2. Sedbergh Vietnam
Sedbergh Vietnam is the international education system in Ho Chi Minh City that inherits the educational quintessence from the school with a 500-year history of teaching in the UK, Sedbergh School. Sedbergh Vietnam trains and teaches bilingual and international programs at the CVK Campus (Kindergarten) and the BCIS Campus (Primary, Secondary, High School) with Cambridge curriculum.
Main Responsibilites:
We are seeking an History - Geography Teacher for our school. The candidate will undertake the following tasks and responsibilities:
The teacher must finish his/her teaching duties in terms of the programs, the plans, and other supporting activities, such as the Club, break-through events in teaching, and other activities assigned by the Head of the Department. The teacher must actively contribute to the development of students, the School, and the collective.
The teacher must keep in mind all the time to build a personal identity to be a role model for students, and through teaching, educate them about moral values, truth, justice, loyalty, patriotism, compassion, humanity, consciousness, diligence, frugality, purity, self-control, and other good moral features for their comprehensive development, which helps standardize the educator's competency.
The teacher builds tests for evaluating students' competency during their study process. The teacher is responsible for having students' test results and study situations reported to the Head of the Department and other relevant departments.
The teacher keeps track of each student's studying to make changes in teaching methods so that he/she can assist all students in the class to thrive equally.

The teacher consistently upholds high moral standards and maintains the image of an ethical educator, serving as a role model for their students.
The teacher completes administrative tasks in accordance with the directions and requirements of the Head of School and the Line Manager.
Abilities/ Skills:
Able to handle and teach History - Geography classes (Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) with capabilities in teaching:
Teaching Expertise
Communication skill in English is preferred.
Lesson planning and syllabus designing
Class management
Assessing and giving feedback
Time management skills
Technology skills
Problem-solving skills
