(Civil & Structural) Division Manager

About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are hiring a Division Manager to support their expanding structural and civil engineering operations in Vietnam. Our client is a prestigious international engineering consultancy headquartered in Germany, renowned for combining European engineering excellence with digital innovation across Europe and Southeast Asia.
Joining the team as a Division Manager, you will lead and oversee the Engineering Division in Ho Chi Minh City, directing BIM, Civil & Structural (C&S), and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. Reporting to the Technical Director / Group Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving end-to-end project execution, optimizing operational workflows, mentoring Design Managers, and elevating engineering design standards across diverse international projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Management: Oversee end-to-end project execution across the division, ensuring technical deliverables consistently meet schedule, budget, scope, risk mitigation, and quality objectives. Conduct regular project reviews and compile completion performance summaries.
Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations for BIM, C&S, and QA teams in alignment with company SOPs and productivity benchmarks. Monitor workload allocation and operational data via Odoo project records to ensure resource efficiency.
Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide Design Managers and team members, facilitating performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.
Process Improvement & Collaboration: Drive continuous workflow enhancements and support digital transformation initiatives. Coordinate closely with other divisions, clients, and external partners to ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 6 years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role within a structural design firm or consultancy.
Strong technical background in structural/civil engineering design with experience overseeing BIM, C&S, and QA functions.
Practical familiarity with digital project management tools (e.g., Odoo, BIM systems) and ERP/project tracking workflows.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for international coordination and stakeholder management.
Proven leadership capabilities with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams under tight project timelines.
Nice to have: Background in international project environments or consulting firms, and formal training/certification in project leadership.
