Construction Engineer

About position:
We are looking for a hands-on Construction Engineer (Store) to support UNIQLO's new store openings, renovations, and store improvement projects across Vietnam.
You will take ownership of construction execution from site preparation through handover, working closely with contractors, consultants, landlords, and internal teams to deliver stores on time, within budget, and in line with UNIQLO's quality, safety, operational, and brand standards.
The current UQVN role is primarily focused on construction execution, with additional responsibility for maintenance/store improvement and design coordination.
This position is individual contributor and open for Vietnamese nationality only.

Job Description:
Manage day-to-day construction and site execution for new stores, renovations, and improvement projects.
Supervise contractors and monitor schedule, quality, safety, cost, and compliance.
Review shop drawings, materials, construction methods, and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP and fire safety/PCCC requirements.
Conduct site inspections, resolve technical and construction issues, and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate testing, snagging, defect rectification, final inspection, and handover to Store Operations.
Support BOQ, quantity take-off, cost estimation, tender/procurement, and vendor management.
Coordinate maintenance, repair, warranty, and improvement works for existing stores.
Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, permits, contracts, approvals, progress reports, and as-built documents.
Work cross-functionally with Store Development, Store Design, Store Operations, Procurement, Finance, landlords, consultants, and contractors
Job Requisition:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
2+ years of construction/project execution experience; retail fit-out, commercial, F&B, or shopping mall experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office.
Strong hands-on experience in site management and contractor coordination
Good knowledge of architectural construction, structures, MEP, fire safety/PCCC, QA/QC, shop drawings, and project handover.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; SketchUp is an advantage.
Strong project coordination, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Good business English for working with local and international stakeholders.
Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively under fixed store-opening deadlines.
Willing to travel frequently across Vietnam.
