OKO Education is committed to providing high-quality English language education. Our academic team plays a vital role in achieving this mission by developing innovative curriculum, supporting our dedicated teachers, and ensuring exceptional learning outcomes for our students.
As a Curriculum Developer, you will lead the charge in crafting, refining, and implementing our English language curriculum. Your expertise in pedagogy, assessment design, and teacher training will be essential to maintaining the high standards of our programs. This role is instrumental in shaping engaging and effective learning experiences for our students.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Curriculum Design & Development:
Lead the development of engaging and effective learning materials (outlines, lesson plans, assessments) that align with OKO's quality standards and meet program timelines.
Research and propose new program offerings that align with market trends and student needs.
Continuously review and revise existing curriculum to enhance uniformity, efficiency, and student engagement.
Collaborate with teachers to develop and refine assessment resources and analyze data to improve teaching and learning.
Partner with the Operations team to design engaging in-class activities for students.
2. Teacher Training & Support:
Deliver comprehensive curriculum training to teachers, ensuring they have a deep understanding of syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment methods.
Conduct training needs analyses and propose or deliver targeted professional development workshops for teachers.
3. Quality Assurance:
Observe classes regularly to monitor curriculum implementation, provide constructive feedback to teachers, and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of OKO's quality assurance framework for teaching and learning.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with the Marketing & Communications team to provide accurate curriculum information for promotional materials.
Support the Admissions team by answering parent inquiries related to curriculum and program offerings.
Partner with the Customer Service team to provide insights into curriculum-related inquiries and challenges faced by students or parents, contributing to improved customer support and satisfaction.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Your success in this role will be measured by your contributions to:
Student Achievement: 80% of students achieving target learning outcomes each month.
Curriculum Completion: 100% of required curriculum materials developed and delivered on schedule.
Assessment Accuracy: Maintaining a 95% accuracy rate in the development of assessment materials.
Class Success Rate: Achieving an 85% success rate in classes utilizing the developed curriculum.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, TESOL, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven track record of success teaching English as a foreign/second language, preferably within an international program setting.
Skills:
Strong understanding of pedagogical approaches and curriculum development methodologies.
Experience in developing assessments and analyzing assessment data to inform instruction.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Desired Skills:
Experience in curriculum development for international programs is highly desirable.
Exceptional research and comparative analysis skills are a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
