Job Purpose: The Cutting Pattern Technician is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining cut files, production drawings, and other documentation needed for textile production processes. They will cross-functionally collaborate with cost accounting, production, product development, supply chain, and quality to drive improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of furniture / garment construction and textile production processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and modify digital patterns for textiles and foam / batting cutting processes using industry-standard CAD software like Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, SolidWorks, or Optitex.
Work cross-functionally development, design, production, sourcing, and cost accounting teams to ensure all layouts and cut files are accurate, manufacturable, and set up properly.
Work cross-functionally to optimize construction for both functionality and manufacturability through the entire manufacturing process (including the filling process).
Drive continuous improvement in layout efficiencies by optimizing part design, layout efficiency, fabric width selection, and production cutting processes.
Review and adjust patterns, seam allowances, accessory placement, and technical annotations to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
Maintain and organize a digital library of all patterns and design files for easy retrieval and version control throughout the organization.
Address and resolve any CAD-related issues to arise during design/pattern-making, layout modifications, and production processes.
Create and manage technical drawings from development through end of life in production.
