Data Engineering Manager - Hybird/Remote

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Architect and manage data storage solutions, including databases and data warehouses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
Implement and enforce data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and senior data engineers.
Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering and data governance.
Lead and participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to data infrastructure.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Must have experience in technical leadership and ownership of software components and code bases.
Must have experience leading and guiding other engineers, including performance reviews
Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Extensive experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data modeling and data architecture design.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
Experience in strategic planning and project management.
