The Job
Milient is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer with growth ambitions.
With offices in Norway and Sweden, we are proud of being the Nordic region's largest SaaS provider within project management, including timekeeping, resource planning, quality assurance, staffing, and recruitment. Milient is often used by architects, the staffing industry, advertising, engineering and IT.
* Note:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
- Automate and streamline our deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, we believe you should identify with some of these points:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Having experience in Java programming.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices.
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Desired skills:
- Proficiency with AWS services and Terraform, strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
