Role Overview Eyewear Consulting Group is looking for a Vietnamese professional with excellent English communication skills to work closely with management in developing our business in Vietnam.
This position is more than an interpreter role.
The successful candidate will accompany management to meetings with business owners, retailers, partners and potential customers throughout Vietnam and help both sides communicate clearly and accurately.
The person will also be responsible for understanding the commercial discussions, following up after meetings, coordinating next steps and preparing clear English summaries and reports for our regional and head office teams.
Key Responsibilities
Accompany management to meetings with Vietnamese business owners, retailers, customers and partners.
Provide accurate Vietnamese-English and English-Vietnamese interpretation during business discussions and negotiations.
Help communicate not only the words being spoken, but also the intention, context and commercial meaning behind the discussion.
Build good relationships with Vietnamese customers and business partners.
Follow up with customers after meetings regarding proposals, quotations, orders, documents and next actions.
Coordinate appointments and business trips within Vietnam.
Prepare clear meeting summaries, action points and customer updates in English.
Communicate relevant information to management and HQ.
Maintain records of customer discussions and business opportunities.
Support the development of new customers, brands and distribution opportunities.
Gradually develop a strong understanding of the eyewear, fashion and premium retail business in Vietnam.
Ideal Candidate
Native Vietnamese speaker.
Fluent or near-fluent spoken and written English.
Able to communicate confidently with business owners and senior management.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Good business sense and ability to understand commercial discussions.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Able and willing to travel frequently within Vietnam.
Comfortable working directly with foreign management.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
Strong English writing skills for reports and meeting summaries.

Previous professional interpreting experience is helpful but is not mandatory. We are more interested in someone who can understand business, communicate naturally and become a trusted bridge between management and the Vietnamese market.
