Field Service Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Service Engineer role based in Vietnam.
The Field Service
Engineer will install, commission, and maintain automated equipment and systems at customer facilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating system upgrades or modifications in line with customer requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with engineering and project teams, providing technical support and training to customers, documenting service activities, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
The Field Service
Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute feedback on product performance and customer needs.
Qualifications
Strong technical skills in automation or electrical/mechanical systems, with experience in equipment installation, testing, and maintenance.
Ability to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting using tools, software, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of industrial control systems, robotics, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and provide training when needed.
Capacity to work independently on-site, manage time and tasks efficiently, and collaborate in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
Willingness to travel within Vietnam and occasionally to other regions, and to work flexible hours when required by customer schedules.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Prior field service experience in automation, semiconductor, or related industries is beneficial.
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in industrial environments.
Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
