Job description

BillerudKorsnäs Beetham Ltd is part of BillerudKorsnäs AB (Sweden), a world leading international and innovative manufacturer of technical papers and provider of packaging solutions, employing approx. 4,500 employees worldwide.

Our UK manufacturing site (employing approx. 140 people) is an internationally recognised speciality paper manufacturer, being a Global/European leader in supplying paper products to the healthcare and food packaging markets.

We are introducing a new role at Beetham Mill, for a Finance Manager, who will be responsible for the Management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury and credit control functions. This position will also manage a Finance team of 5, and work directly with the Finance Senior Manager.

The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role, and a professional finance qualification.

The position is full-time; Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Key Duties:

Oversee all areas of the finance function and ensure efficiency and accuracy in all transactions
Manage company bank accounts
Cash flow management
Currency exchange and forward contracts/hedging management
Experience in M&A, new company setup etc.
Managing Quarterly VAT returns - complex situations
Managing the EU vat registration process
Managing contracts with EU agencies - VAT, Customs
Managing external party relations -Insurers, Lease agreements
Managing the process of employment of overseas personnel in conjunction with overseas agents
Oversee monthly accounts reporting process
Statutory Accounts, CT and DT computations in conjunction with external Auditors
Experience of ERP systems/IT integrations and new setup in relation to finance functions

Qualifications

• Professional Finance Qualification - ACMA, ACCA
• Experience in similar role

Personal qualities

Strong management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Keen to bring new ideas to the board
