POSITION SUMMARY
Informed by the school's values, teachers will ensure that all students learn the content and skills required for academic success as defined by curricular and instructional objectives and overarching school goals.
Instructors will:
Teach appropriate content and skills using student-centered, project-based curriculum materials adopted by the school
Provide supplemental and teacher-created materials as needed
Develop lesson plans accommodating a range of learning styles and specialized student needs
Create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation
Participate actively in school improvement activities, professional development, curriculum meetings, assessment meetings, and student support meetings
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics,or a related field
Teacher Certification/License or PGCE in Education from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand
IB certification preferred
Master's degree in Education preferred
Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience in Primary Science and Mathematics
Experience in student-centered, project-based learning preferred

1. PLANNING AND PREPARATION
Demonstrate deep knowledge of content area, instructional pedagogy, and project-based learning
Incorporate student needs into instructional activities, including academic abilities, developmental strengths/challenges, language, and culture
Implement interventions, accommodations, and modifications when necessary
Set instructional outcomes that are challenging, clear, sequential, and aligned
Complete lesson plans based on the innovative project-based curriculum
Utilize diverse instructional resources, including school curriculum materials and enrichment resources
Implement structured project-based units with hands-on activities and strategic grouping
Use assessment data to inform instruction for whole-class learning, small-group instruction, and individual remediation/enrichment
2. CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT
Build and maintain respectful, productive relationships with all school community members
Create a student-centered learning environment promoting autonomy and independent learning
Foster respectful communication among teachers and students
Maintain classrooms demonstrating high expectations and quality student work
Establish clear structures, routines, and organization supporting safety and learning
Implement effective behavior management systems with clear expectations and monitoring
Maintain a safe classroom environment supporting diverse learning activities
3. INSTRUCTION
Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction with clear purpose and process
Use accurate spoken and written language that expands student vocabulary

Utilize strategic grouping based on instructional goals

Maintain accurate records of assignments, grades, rubrics, and documentation
Involve students in interpreting and acting on feedback
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding expectations and student progress
Engage parents in the school community and school events
Contribute positively to school culture and professional collaboration
Participate actively in professional development opportunities
Support colleagues and contribute to the advancement of the profession
Demonstrate professionalism through integrity, ethics, service, and student advocacy

Comply with campus, school, and district regulations
5. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Refer students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties to the intervention team
Complete required school documentation in a timely manner
Supervise students during assigned duties throughout the school day
Complete at least one additional duty assignment and one advisory course responsibility
Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors
