JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE PURPOSE
The Packaging, POSM & Merchandising Intern supports the execution of packaging development, merchandising projects, and point-of-sale materials (POSM) across retail and wholesale channels. This role provides hands-on exposure to branding, packaging production, supplier coordination, and retail execution while contributing to the consistent presentation of Marou's products and brand image.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Packaging Development Support
Support the preparation and organization of packaging artwork files, specifications, and product information.
Assist in coordinating packaging samples, mock-ups, and approval processes.
Maintain packaging archives, technical documents, and sample libraries.
Conduct research on packaging materials, sustainability trends, competitor packaging, and market best practices.
Support packaging testing and evaluation activities when required.
2. POSM & Merchandising Execution
Assist in the development and rollout of POSM materials, including displays, shelf-talkers, wobblers, posters, product information cards, and promotional assets.
Support store merchandising initiatives and seasonal campaign launches.
Help track POSM inventory, distribution, and installation status.
Collect store execution photos and maintain merchandising reports.
Assist in preparing merchandising guidelines and visual references for stores and partners.
3. Artwork & Design Coordination
Coordinate with Design and Marketing teams to ensure packaging and POSM files are updated and properly organized.
Support proofreading and content checking for packaging and POSM materials.
Prepare presentation materials, mockups, and project summaries.
Ensure all brand assets follow Marou's visual identity guidelines.
4. Supplier & Project Coordination
Support communication with printing vendors, packaging suppliers, and POSM production partners.
Follow up on quotations, sample deliveries, production timelines, and installation schedules.
Maintain project trackers and update progress reports.
Assist in coordinating cross-functional activities between Marketing, Design, Procurement, QA/QC, Factory, and Retail Operations teams. Adapted from the collaboration requirements outlined in the Technician role.
5. Administrative Support
Organize project documentation and digital asset management systems.
Maintain records of packaging specifications, POSM inventories, and supplier information.
Support purchase requests, budget tracking, and invoice documentation.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Final-year student or recent graduate in Marketing, Brand Management, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
Knowledge
Basic understanding of branding, packaging, retail merchandising, or marketing communications.
Interest in packaging materials, printing processes, and retail execution.
Awareness of sustainability and environmentally friendly packaging practices is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign is preferred.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Good communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Availability
Can commit a full-time internship for 06 months.
PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS
Previous internship, university project, or extracurricular experience related to marketing, design, retail, or merchandising.
Familiarity with retail environments, visual merchandising, or POSM execution.
Basic knowledge of packaging production or printing processes.
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools.
