JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated and passionate DevOps Intern to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational knowledge of DevOps concepts and is eager to gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices. You will work closely with senior DevOps engineers to support daily operations, improve system reliability, and assist in building automation pipelines.
Assist in managing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Support configuration, provisioning, and deployment tasks using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in containerization and orchestration tasks using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Collaborate with team members to maintain Git/GitLab repositories, branching models, and CI/CD pipelines.
Work on monitoring and logging stacks (Grafana-Loki, Elasticsearch, etc.) to ensure system visibility and performance.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and environment-related issues under guidance from senior engineers.
Contribute to automation by writing scripts in Bash and Python for routine or ad hoc tasks.
Support network, security, and system-level configurations on Linux-based servers.
REQUIREMENTS
What we need from you (your skill and experience/ what you'll bring to the team)
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing concepts).
Foundational understanding of AWS and its key services: VPC, EC2, S3, EFS, Load Balancer, Route 53, EKS.
Basic experience with Kubernetes and Docker containerization.
Good understanding of Linux operating systems and common administration tasks.
Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
Familiarity with Git and Git servers (e.g., GitLab).
Basic knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Loki, Elastic Stack.
Soft Skills
Eager to learn modern DevOps practices and tools.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or personal projects related to DevOps, Cloud, or automation.
Experience with containerized application development or microservices concepts.
Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and resource monitoring.
