Contract and Shift details: Normal working - Mon to Fri, 8:30 - 17:30
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead our finance operations in Vietnam. As a senior member of the local leadership team and the key finance liaison to our global headquarters, you will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, delivering insights for business decision-making, and leading a high-performing finance team. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning local operations with global financial objectives and reporting standards.
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Financial Leadership
• Act as a financial advisor to the leadership team in Vietnam.
• Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes in alignment with global timelines and expectations.
• Ensure robust business cases and ROI analyses support investment and strategic initiatives.
Financial Operations & Reporting
• Oversee all accounting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting functions in Vietnam.
• Ensure compliance with both Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to global finance.
Compliance, Controls & Risk Management
• Maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with global governance frameworks.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Business Partnering
• Partner with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead pricing, profitability, and margin analysis to support business growth.
Systems & Transformation
• Champion continuous improvement and digital finance transformation initiatives (e.g., ERP rollouts, automation).
• Drive process standardization and best practice sharing across the region.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
Key Stakeholders
Finance Director (Direct Line Manager)
• Strategic guidance, performance reporting, budgeting oversight, and alignment with broader financial goals.
Local Finance Team
• Coordination on reporting, compliance, budgeting, and standardization of processes across geographies.
Executive Leadership Team (indirectly)
• Provide accurate financial insights and analysis that inform top-level decision-making.
Operations / Supply Chain
• Support cost control, working capital efficiency, and financial input for global logistics and procurement decisions.
Commercial / Sales Teams
• Collaborate on revenue planning, margin analysis, and financial impact of market strategies.
HR / People Teams
• Align on headcount planning, compensation forecasting, and payroll budget management.
IT / Systems
• Work closely to install, maintain and improve financial systems (e.g., ERP implementation, reporting tools).
Legal & Compliance
• Ensure financial processes and decisions are compliant with local and international laws.
