Job overview:
The Head of Legal is responsible for leading the company's legal function, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and providing strategic legal advice to support business operations and growth in the hospitality and F&B sector. This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and safeguards the company's interests in all legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all legal affairs of the company, including contracts, corporate governance, labor laws, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.
Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management on business initiatives, investments, and transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company's rights and interests are protected.
Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to hospitality and F&B operations.
Manage relationships with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings, when necessary.
Develop and implement internal legal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
Support M&A activities, joint ventures, franchising, and other strategic projects from a legal perspective.
Provide training and guidance to management and staff on legal and compliance matters.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging legal issues impacting the hospitality and F&B industry.
Yêu cầu
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LL.B or LL.M).
Licensed attorney/qualified lawyer in Vietnam (additional international qualification is a plus).
Minimum 8-10 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in a senior legal management role. Experience in hospitality, F&B, or service industries is preferred.
Strong expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, compliance, and labor law.
Proven track record in providing strategic legal counsel to senior leadership.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, professional ethics, and business acumen.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
