Head of Project Development (Working Location: Da Nang).

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS ("KRAs")
Responsible for project development and risk mitigation, new market business development, wind turbine selection, engineering and procurement, process improvements, quality control and assurance of wind and solar power projects in SE Asia under development by the Company for commissioning within the next 3-5 years.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
1. Project Development and Risk Mitigation
• Develop and monitor project risk mitigation plans.
• Lead and/or support in managing consultants for completion of technical studies required for internal investment decisions including logistics/transport surveys and WTG foundation costing.
• Monitor validity of licenses, permits and land leases.
• Ensure compliance with Company ESG policies.
2. Engineering & Procurement
• Sourcing, technical DD, selection and optimization of WTGs, solar modules and inverters and support procurement lead in commercial negotiations
• Support Electrical Head in sourcing, technical DD, selection and optimization of critical substation equipment and lead in commercial negotiations
• Tendering, evaluation and ranking of technical consultants and BOP contractors and lead in commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with BD to identify optimum WTG models on LCOE basis for each project.
• Support legal and BD in contract drafting and approvals.
3. Project Management
• Lead project schedule drafting, updating and monitoring.
• Support project budgeting
4. Quality Control & Assurance
• Conduct technical QC of government applications, agreements and correspondence including master plan approvals, forestry clearance, WTG height clearance, FS approvals, PPA and related agreements and Energy Generation Licenses.
• Conduct technical QC of grid impact and interconnection studies and monitoring.
• Support Vietnam PD Head in RFP process, evaluation of technical consultants and preparation of Notes for Approval (NFA) prior to contracting.
5. HSE
• Ensure compliance with the highest standards of HSE.
• Coordinate with HSE consultants to prepare Job Hazards Safety Analysis (JHA) and Site Safety Plans (SSP) as needed for Project Development activities.
6. Process Improvements
• Implement technology & systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of land surveys, topographical surveys, ESIA receptor analysis and project marketing / PR.
7. New Market Business Development
• Research, planning and budgeting to enable entry into new markets like Indonesia and other SE Asian countries.
• Identification of local consultants and partners.
