The
HSE Officer
is responsible for ensuring operational compliance with Vietnam's legal requirements and international safety standards. This role combines strategic system management with hands-on site oversight to foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Maintain the HSE management system in compliance with Vietnam HSE laws, regulations, and international standards. Coordinate with factories on pilot run scheduling and execution
Lead the HSE related external audits from customers. And verification of the FEM and FSLM(SLCP).
Convene and chair monthly HSE Committee review meetings; conduct monthly inspections and track corrective actions for HSE reports. Draft product specifications (preferred but not required)
Collect and analyze data on water, electricity, and fuel oil consumption, waste weight statistics, hazard and injury data, and identify HSE improvement areas. Organize and maintain development documentation
Conduct site inspections and hazard identification; manage equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE); organize training; manage emergency preparedness and incident response; maintain documentation and records; conduct fire drills and safety training; and oversee 5S and site management.
Be responsible for internal and external audits related to safety and sustainability.
Promote HSE improvement projects and the visual management system.
Lead HSE inspections to identify existing and potential accidents and health hazards and formulate corresponding corrective and preventive measures.
Prepare documentation and conduct relevant training to meet OHSAS audit requirements and support internal HSE audits.
Assist in tracking updates to HSE-related laws and regulations, and prepare documentation required for government and customer audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher; a major in Chemistry or a related field is preferred.
Must possess an HSE qualification or have passed certain examination sections.
Basic understanding of fundamental Vietnam HSE laws and regulations, as well as international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Familiarity with Bluesign, TQP, or ISO 9001 standards is a distinct advantage.
At least 3 years of relevant HSE work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Professional proficiency in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) management systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in an English-speaking work environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with Bluesign, TQP, or ISO 9001 standards is a distinct advantage.
Agile, proactive, strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers.
Detail-oriented, good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
