YOUR ROLE
The main scope of the Mentoring Consultant is to provide in curriculum and standalone mentoring and career education programs to RMIT students to increase their employability at the RMIT Vietnam Hanoi Campus. The Mentoring Consultant is responsible for developing mentoring and career development related learning activities such as seminars and workshops based on identifiable student needs, aligned with both undergraduate and post graduate student needs and/or faculty needs. The position is expected to design, develop and deliver Mentoring and Workshops in conjunction with programs such as Personal Edge co-curricular program. The Mentoring Consultant will also participate in the academic administrative and coordination tasks involved in these courses and programs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In collaboration with Industry and Internships team, train and support students to get ready for jobs and internships applications and deliver key programs to enhance student employability
Incorporate Mentoring activities into Career offerings to increase Mentoring profile in Hanoi.
Assist with and participate in on-campus events including: orientation, career fairs, workshops, open day, employer panels and graduation ceremonies where appropriate.
Maintain currency and a detailed knowledge and awareness of university activities and development, and industry trends to ensure that correct, reliable and up to date information is utilized for workshops and on-line resources.
Management of all digital media content and publication relating to promotional activities of the Career, Industry and Alumni Relations team for Hanoi.
Offer Careers support to Postgraduate students and RMIT Vietnam Alumni.
Constantly and consistently update the Database and provide reports to manager.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (Education or related, : Masters Degree in related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a professional and diplomatic manner.
Experience with the provision of mentoring, coaching, counselling or advisory services.
Experience and familiarity with database systems and other relevant software.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring/career planning in an international tertiary education environment.
Experience in a customer service role in a higher education environment.
Experience with the provision of mentoring, coaching, counselling or advisory services in a higher education context.
Experience working with CRM and case management systems
