ABOUT THE POSITION
The Global Engagement Specialist (Inbound Student Exchange Programs) is an integral member of the Global Engagement Office at VinUni. The incumbent will be in charge of the various activities for the inbound student exchange programs. S/he will focus on primary activity areas: program coordination and implementation, program promotion, and external engagement with academic partners and students from international universities. The Global Engagement Specialist will report to the Global Engagement Manager.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Inbound Student Exchange Program Coordination:
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the inbound student programs (semester and short-term programs).
Serve as the main point of contact for inbound students, faculty, staff, external stakeholders regarding academic, engagement, and administrative matters.
Ensure all logistical elements are in place for events, workshops, and program activities.
Coordinate with internal departments and colleagues to deliver activities.
Gather feedback from students to enhance the program and ensure a positive experience.
Assist with reporting, documentation, and post-program evaluation logistics.
2. Marketing and Communication for Inbound Exchange Programs:
Support the development of content and marketing initiatives to promote inbound student programs and initiatives, while coordinating communications with academic stakeholders to foster strong partnerships and elevate VinUni's academic profile.
Promote signature programs of the Inbound student programs among the international academic partners.
3. Support Global Engagement activities:
Arrange meetings from partner institutions, department events to VinUni.
Develop and keep track of contact database related to inbound student programs.
Assist with documentation and administrative tasks.
Support other projects as assigned.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience studying abroad is an advantage but not required.
A minimum of three (03) years of work experience in an international office environment or a higher education setting in a role delivering a wide range of customer service.
Previous experience with international academic exchange is a plus.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of higher education systems in other countries is an advantage.
Excellent computer literacy skills - MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Good time management skills, resilience, ability to multi-task effectively and work under pressure.
Excellent administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to meet agreed standards, attention to detail and timeframes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese
Previous experience in program coordination, student services, or higher education promotion is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities with sensitivity to cross-cultural environments.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
