Responsibilities
1. Recruitment
Recruitment processing
- Review and verify teacher recruitment orders from centres
- Select effective internal/ external channels [intranet, Ila website, job-posting website, network, executive search firms, etc.] to publish vacancies Selection process
- Shortlist applicants from internal/ external sources
- Conduct interviews for management level
- Check references, qualifications, documentations for management level before offering
- Offer employment to qualified candidates for management level
- Get confirmation of employment signed by the company representatives and qualified candidates
Induction and/or probation
- Conduct company induction program to new starters
- Facilitate new starters into the system during probation
- Conduct probation evaluation
- Confirm probation completion status as per probation evaluation results from direct line managers
Recruitment planning
- Forecast and plan talent requirements in line with business strategies
- Effectively utilize and negotiate the services of executive search firms or employment agencies
- Manage the recruitment budget and resources of the company
- Use the wide range of selection and assessment techniques and able to develop, train and coach others across all levels within the organization
- Effectively manage the "Employer Brand" to ensure that the company is perceived as an Employer of Choice
- Actively conduct effective recruitment activities via a variety of recruitment channels
- Uses knowledge and understanding of the local and overseas employment market, cultural, social, economic trends, competitor behaviors to develop appropriate recruitment strategies
- Follow other assignments from HHR
2. Retention
Development & Succession Planning
- Work with line managers to have an annual talent development & succession plan
- Work with BOM to define annual training needs and coordinate with internal & external trainers to execute the training.
- Implement the succession plan based on the company focuses
Engagement
- Organize activities to improve engagement among teachers & expat staff in centres & at headquarters.
- Conduct the annual engagement survey and take actions accordingly.
Expat service
- Support teachers & expat staff with services to facilitate living in vietnam, including visa, work permit, driving license, leasing, emergencies, etc
- Answer questions relating to laws in VN, such as taxes, social contributions, etc
3. Employee Relations Employee relation and work environment
- Develop strategy to maintain and strengthen employee relations with the company
- Create and conduct variety of team building activities to build a positive and proactive company culture with all ILA employees
- Manage employee wellness programmes
- Proactively recommend changes of employment practices/ policies to ensure compliance with local legislation requirements and ILA Principles
- Ensure all employment policies/ processes are readily accessible, communicated and understood by employees
- Provide expert advice and coaching to line managers on employment policies and practices.
- Be responsible for supporting employees in emergency cases, such as contacting family, hospital visits, etc.
Disciplinary
- Provides expert advice and coaching to line managers on disciplinary case management
- Conduct disciplinary actions
Grievance handling
- Manage staff grievance cases in a fair and ethical manner
- Handle staff and teachers leaving
- Follow other assignments from HRM
Skill Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate in a professional manner
- High flexibility and ability to manage recruitment functions
- Strong leadership skills and cross cultural understanding
- Good presentation and persuasive skill
Required Experience
- Previously held a similar position with at least 2 years of experience in recruitment/selection and employee relations management
- Multinational organization experience preferred (in the education, consumer or financial industry is a plus)
- Proficient in recruitment best practices, Vietnamese labor code, and governmental regulations relating to human resources
Required Education and qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
