JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Finance Business Partnering & Strategic Advisory
- Partner with Financial Markets/Treasury leadership, desk heads and Finance management to provide strategic financial insights and commercial advice.
- Challenge business assumptions, pricing decisions, resource allocation and strategic initiatives to support sustainable business growth.
- Evaluate financial implications and provide recommendations aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
2. P&L Management & Performance Analysis
- Own the finance view of daily, weekly and monthly P&L across Treasury and Financial Markets activities, including FX, rates, fixed income, liquidity and derivatives.
- Analyze P&L movements, business drivers, one-off items and run-rate trends.
- Provide actionable insights on revenue growth, margin protection and balance sheet efficiency.
3. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, rolling outlooks and scenario analysis in collaboration with FP&A and business teams.
- Ensure financial assumptions are commercially realistic and aligned with market outlook, funding conditions and business strategy.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and assess the financial impact of key business scenarios.
4. FTP, Funding Cost & Product Profitability
- Support Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), funding cost analysis and product profitability assessment.
- Evaluate risk-adjusted performance, considering funding, liquidity, capital, market risk and operational requirements.
- Support business decisions to improve profitability and resource allocation.
5. Balance Sheet, Liquidity & Risk Management
- Partner with ALM, Market Risk, Product Control and Financial Control teams to connect financial performance with balance sheet usage, liquidity and risk positions.
- Analyze valuation impacts, risk limits and stress indicators to support effective financial and risk management.
6. Management Reporting & Executive Communication
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and executive commentary covering financial performance, outlook, risks, opportunities and recommendations.
- Translate complex financial and market data into clear, concise and decision-ready insights for senior management.
7. Data Analytics & Process Improvement
- Drive reporting automation, data quality improvements, KPI standardization and self-service analytics.
- Identify manual processes, reconciliation gaps and reporting inefficiencies, working with Technology and Data teams to implement sustainable solutions.
8. Strategic Initiatives & Governance
- Support new product assessments, business cases, pricing proposals and portfolio reviews.
- Ensure financial analysis and reporting comply with finance policies, internal controls, audit requirements and governance standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 8-10+ years of relevant experience in banking finance, FP&A, Treasury Finance, Product Control, ALM, Market Risk Finance or Financial Markets Business Partnering.
- Financial Markets Knowledge: Strong understanding of wholesale banking, Treasury products, FX, interest rates, fixed income, derivatives, liquidity, hedging, valuation, FTP, NIM and funding mechanics.
- Financial Analysis: Advanced skills in P&L analysis, balance sheet management, budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, financial modelling and risk-adjusted performance.
- Business Partnering: Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Executive Communication: Excellent ability to translate financial performance, market movements and risk indicators into clear insights and recommendations.
- Technology & Analytics: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, data visualization and reporting automation is highly desirable.
- Professional Competencies: High attention to detail, confidentiality, control discipline, deadline management and the ability to work in a fast-paced financial markets environment.
