KEY GOALS AND TASKS
1. International & Local Logistics Activities
- Arrange and supervise import and export procedures.
- Monitor delivery timelines, quantities, and transportation expenses efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the General Department of Customs, shipping lines, and strategic partners.
- Review, analyze, and propose solutions to enhance overall logistics efficiency.
- Negotiate and arrange bookings for cargo transportation.
- Compile, analyze, and create reports related to ocean freight, inland water/road transportation costs, etc.
- Continuously update information on regulatory changes affecting import/export procedures, costs, and trends, and notify relevant departments and the Board of Directors (BOD) to discuss optimal solutions and action plans.
- Supervise customs declarations and control import costs.
- Verify and follow up on HS Codes to ensure the correct import tax is applied for each commodity.
- Maintain statistics on imported goods and evaluate warehouse capacity to prepare for upcoming shipments.
2. International
purchasing activities
- Manage and take responsibility for the activities of the department, ensuring compliance with the processes and regulations of the Company.
- Manage and be responsible for negotiating the foreign trade contracts, communicating with partners in terms of price, quantity, specification, technical standards, transportation conditions, insurance, delivery term, payment method and so on in an effective and strategic way.
- Build and develop business relationships with partners.
- Manage all claims including with insurance company and with suppliers in terms of products' quality, shipment and other conditions.
- Prepare and attend the meetings with suppliers and partners.
- Periodically review and analyze purchasing volume, pricing level, and market share of the company to determine the suitable purchasing strategy.
- Train the members for products, claims, procedures, negotiation and so on.
- Be responsible for sourcing new products according to the market's needs and trend or customers' requirement. Manage and evaluate new suppliers.
- Ensure supplying qualification by regularly updating related information about suppliers: capacity, products, shipment time, payment term, development orientation... to choose the most suitable suppliers.
3. Customer Services
- Address customer complaints related to import/export procedures, product quality, and other concerns.
4. Other Duties
- Organize and manage the team's workload while evaluating performance.
- Analyze customer and market needs to develop appropriate strategies.
- Prepare periodic reports for market evaluation and management purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Import and Export Manager/ BOD
- Recruit new members to build a strong and solid team.
