Industrial Engineer (IE) - Plush Toy Manufacturing

As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs within our plush toy manufacturing facility. You will analyze current operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Optimization:
o Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
o Analyze production processes and workflows to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
o Develop and implement standardized operation procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
o Monitor and analyze real time data from the production lines and revise standard time / target in cases with big variance on the actual and calculated data.
o Discuss and notify pre-process, sewing and post-process managers and check with quality before apply any changes to patterns or modify the workmanship.
• Capacity Planning:
o Forecast production requirements and allocate resources effectively.
o Optimize production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing lead times.
o Monitor capacity utilization and identify opportunities for increased output.
• Lean Manufacturing:
o Implement Lean principles and tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, to eliminate waste and improve overall efficiency.
o Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity and quality.
• Quality Control:
o Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address quality issues.
o Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure product conformance to specifications.
o Analyze quality data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Equipment and Layout:
o Design and optimize production layouts to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
o Identify and implement equipment upgrades or new technologies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
o Conduct equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
• Cost Reduction:
o Analyze cost data to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
o Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as material reduction, energy efficiency, and labor optimization.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
