Position Objective:
The position in Investment Linked Accounting team is (1) to manage the operational aspects of Unit-linked business (ULB) of AIA VN to comply with both Group ULB framework & Local regulatory requirement and (2) to manage all investment accounting activities by:
- Play the coordinated role to work with internal (Local BU & Group) and external parties to ensure current BAU processes relating to unit-linked product, to detect and resolve incidents on timely basis and recommend solution (if any) for improvement and enhancement on current systems and processes;
- Timely manage delivery of local statutory reports to comply with VAS, insurance regulations and delivery of Group report to meet AIA Group standard;
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of related investment accounting transactions/balances.
Roles & Reponsibilities:
A. Key routine activities (70%)
- Take part in routine Unit pricing validation, Unit creation and Unit reconciliation processes by closely working with Investment Operation & Third Party Administrative (TPA), and performing control check of Unit trading report and Unit reconciliation to detect any discrepancy and resolve on timely basis;
- Perform local ILP control on monthly basis by closely working with Customer Office to meet local regulatory requirement, recommend operational improvement solution (if any) to reduce manual effort, detect error on timely basis and minimize adverse impact;
- Manage and oversee Investment accounting activities and processes by coordinating with Group Financial Solution (GFS) and Reporting team for month-end/year-end closing activities, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of investment accounting transactions and to comply with both VAS and IFRS standards;
- Timely manage delivery of local investment statutory reports to MOF;
- Oversee IFRS9 adoption and implementation (New accounting standard for financial instrument) to comply with AIA Group accounting/reporting policies;
- Update local investment accounting & related ULB policies and processes in accordance with Group Accounting Policies as well as new local law and regulations.
B. Other key ad-hoc activities (30%)
- Take part in related ULB development and implementation project from UAT to Production stage
- Provide accounting advice to other functions to resolve incidents
- Other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Manager from time to time.
- Provide support to other team members.
