IT Project Management Specialist

The Project Management role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering assigned IT projects under the governance of the IT PMO.
This position works closely with the Head of IT PMO, technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are executed effectively, aligned with organizational priorities, and delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The role plays a key part in maintaining project discipline, managing risks, and supporting successful delivery of technology initiatives across infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, digital platforms, and transformation programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery Management
Manage end-to-end execution of assigned IT projects from initiation to closure
Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
Ensure delivery milestones are achieved on schedule and within approved scope
Track project progress and proactively resolve delivery issues
PMO Governance & Standards
Apply PMO methodologies, governance processes, and project standards
Prepare project documentation including charters, status reports, RAID logs, and closure reports
Support stage-gate reviews and governance checkpoints
Ensure compliance with internal controls and project management standards
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with business users, IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and working sessions
Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to stakeholders
Risk & Issue Management
Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies early
Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical matters when required
Monitor changes to scope, schedule, or budget and manage impacts effectively
Resource & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution
Monitor vendor deliverables and timelines against agreed commitments
Support resource planning and workload balancing across projects
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to enhancement of PMO templates, tools, and reporting dashboards
Capture lessons learned and best practices after project completion
Support adoption of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches where appropriate
