Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot for insurance business systems.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications, internal platforms, and third-party services.
Build scalable, secure, and reliable backend services to support insurance operations and business processes.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Frontend Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Work with frontend technologies such as React or Angular to support application development and backend integration.
Design, maintain, and optimize databases, queries, and application performance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow coding standards, development best practices, and security guidelines.
Prepare technical documentation and support application deployment, maintenance, and enhancements.
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
Good understanding of Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
Exposure to or practical experience with React or Angular for frontend development and integration.
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and modern development tools.
Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles.
Experience with microservices architecture and Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms such as JWT or OAuth2 is an advantage
Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
