The Key Account Executive for Chain Pharmacies is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key retail pharmacy chains. The role focuses on driving product sales, ensuring timely deliveries, managing inventory, and promoting brand awareness. This individual will work closely with the marketing and product management teams to ensure the achievement of sales targets and business objectives within the retail pharmacy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management: Develop and manage relationships with major retail pharmacy chains to ensure strong brand presence and customer satisfaction.
Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned products and territories.
Product Promotion: Execute promotional activities, including product demonstrations, marketing campaigns, and in-store promotions, to increase product visibility and sales.
Order Management: Oversee the order processing, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to ensure timely fulfilment and stock availability.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities for growth.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, promotions, and contracts with pharmacy chains to secure favourable terms for the company.
Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular sales reports, insights, and forecasts to the management team, identifying areas of improvement and new business opportunities.
Customer Support: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly to maintain strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product management teams to align strategies and ensure seamless product availability and promotional execution.
Customer Training and Support: Provide training and support to the retail chain pharmacy's staff on the effective use of products or services and address any training needs or challenges faced by the client.
Product and Service Knowledge: Stay well-informed about the company's products and services. Introduce & educate retail chain pharmacy clients about company new products or services that may benefit business.

Experience working with large pharmacy chains.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and industry trends.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations and the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse data, develop strategies, and execute sales plans effectively.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Experience working with large pharmacy chains.
