• Manage assigned litigation and arbitration files end-to-end under the supervision of a Senior Associate, from initial case assessment through to enforcement of judgments and awards.
• Research and analyse legal issues across civil, commercial, labor, criminal and family matters, and propose practical, commercially sound strategies.
• Draft petitions, statements of defence, legal memoranda, submissions, appeal briefs and correspondence to a standard suitable for filing with minimal revision.
• Collect, organise and assess evidence; build and maintain a defensible case file and case chronology.
• Liaise directly with State authorities, courts, arbitration centres, enforcement agencies and other relevant bodies.
• Attend hearings and arbitration sessions, present arguments, examine witnesses and negotiate with opposing parties and their counsel.
• Maintain regular client contact: report on case progress, explain legal risk in plain commercial terms and manage client expectations.
• Review and draft contracts and other legal documents where a dispute-prevention perspective is required.
• Guide and review the work of Legal Assistants on assigned matters.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor of Law (LLB) or higher from a recognised institution.
• At least 1.5 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, gained at a law firm or in an in-house dispute function.
• Vietnamese Lawyer Practising Certificate, or currently enrolled in or completing the Bar training programme.
• Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Code, Labor Code, Enterprise Law and commercial arbitration rules (VIAC, SIAC or equivalent).
• Strong drafting ability in Vietnamese and professional working English; IELTS 6.5 or equivalent preferred. Legal documents and client reporting are frequently produced in both languages.
• Logical thinking, a sharp mind and flexibility under pressure; able to hold a position in argument and adjust when the facts change.
• Proactive, hard-working, honest and meticulous, and comfortable being accountable for deadlines without being chased.
• Willingness to travel domestically for hearings and client meetings.
