LM410: Vehicle/ Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Specialist Associate

Description

Involves the application of specialist knowledge which may include providing specialist
advice to employees, management or customers, managing or maintaining systems or processes
or completing projects to develop or changing systems or processes as appropriate.
To provide administrative and analytical support for the performance of all outside service agreements as they relate to maintenance and/or airport operating agreements, construction and property management.

General Job Description
Under general guidance completes the following tasks:
• Selects and evaluates the effectiveness of commercial maintenance services for maintenance, road service and shops and implements improvements or changes.
• Inspects and accepts new vehicles/equipment and arranges for disposition of vehicles.
• Inspects on a regular basis the fleet's mechanical, paint and body condition to ensure compliance.
• Trains commercial maintenance service vendors on FedEx preventive maintenance system and ensures that repairs are completed properly on a timely basis, at a fair price.
• Ensures that vehicles are in the body shops within the specified time limit and makes estimates on repairs.
• Maintains accurate records in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirement and monitors warranty stipulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor's degree/Equivalent
• Proficiency in English

Minimum Experience:
• Three (3) years' work experience in preventive maintenance operations on automotive-related equipment.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting /diagnosing of gasoline and diesel automotive equipment.
