Mô tả công việc

PURPOSE/GENERAL SUMMARY:
This associate has a creative eye yet, is the "voice of reason" regarding execution of product. She/he is proactive and anticipates challenges regarding construction, costing, technical testing, etc. This role is expected to offer regular and ad hoc design ideas, suggestions, and solutions. She/he can present own ideas to our customers from both technical and creative perspective.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the Design Leader of our Denim business and the 'go-to' person of our Denim Business Leader
• Translate business insight and customer requirement into design solution to drive business growth
• Provide guidance and direction to the design team and mobilize team resources to fulfill business needs
• Present good taste level and fashion sense within the context of the Brand
• Identify and incorporate trends into clothing lines
• Possess good understanding of fabrics and manufacturing process, basic fit/pattern knowledge
• Lead customer presentation of trends and products and engage with customer on daily business correspondence
• Work with mills/vendors on continuity programs by continually offering newness

Yêu cầu công việc

• Academic textile qualification
• A minimum of 8 years of apparel design experience, at least 3 years in a managerial position
• Previous solid experience in denim category is required
• Good understanding of garment construction, fabrication, and production process
• Computer skills including Photoshop and Illustrator required
• A strategic mindset and ability to drive change
• Able to build an effective relationship with stakeholders including customer
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced, matrix global organization
