We are looking for a NPD Engineer to join our engineering team and drive value engineering initiatives across products and manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up projects from design to mass production release.
- Follow up competitive benchmarking and feasibility study.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm component specification, target cost and lead-time.
- Follow up hand-made samples and rapid prototyping.
- Prepare 3D layout for ID to proceed with conceptual design.
- Prepare 3D part drawing and detailed 2D drawing, subassembly drawing, and exploded view.
- Perform dimensioning and tolerance calculations.
- Capable of applying geometric tolerance dimensioning.
- Initiate documentation such as BOM, ECO and SER.
- Follow up tool plan, mold and die debugging.
- Evaluate the new part according to the drawing.
- Coordinate with PMC and
Purchasing to organize EB and pilot run.
- Follow up reliability testing with QA laboratory.
- Follow up safety approval with laboratory.
- Keep product file up to date.
- Follow up continuous product improvement actions.
