Roles and Responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities of the Student Engagement Officer (Sports and Recreation) include but are not limited to:
· Proactively contribute to the planning and executing of Student Engagement projects and events to increase overall engagement of the Fulbright community.
· Assist in the coordination, and administration of the Student Club Program, including but not limited to reviewing club events and reports, managing facility and resources bookings, assisting with events, and evaluating performance.
· Enhance the development of student clubs including sports clubs' profile, level of reach, and overall student engagement in tournaments and friendly matches.
· Assist in developing club guidelines and policies, ensuring clubs comply with relevant Fulbright regulations, especially concerning health and safety and risk mitigation.
· Support establishing links with external organizations to develop health, recreation, and sports programs to encourage participation.
· Assist to develop professional development opportunities for student leaders including leadership camp, team building, event management, and other relevant workshops.
· Provide mentorship and supervision to student staff and volunteers for planning and executing Student Engagement events and activities.
· Any other duties that may be required by the Student Affairs & Engagement Manager
Other duties
· Contribute to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; explore new opportunities to enhance the services of the department; help others accomplish related job results as and where needed.
· Other tasks and responsibilities assigned to the Employee by the Company may be adjusted from time to time.
What we look for
· Education:
o A relevant Bachelor's Degree, preferably in event management, sport, and fitness
· Employment/Professional Experience:
o Experience in planning and executing events, recreation, health, or sports activities.
o Demonstrate broad experience in planning and organizing sports, fitness, and recreation events & activities in a safety-focused environment
· Competencies - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Ability to work in an English-speaking environment, with strong written and verbal communication skills General project management knowledge.
o Strong customer service skills and a high level of understanding of continuous improvement principles.
o Ability to balance collaborative and independent work.
o Flexible work schedule, with the ability to work weekends to facilitate and execute programming.
