Packaging Engineer

Location: Hai Phong, Vietnam (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
Develop, design, validate, and continuously improve packaging solutions for products.
Manage packaging-related quotations, testing, approval, and implementation activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with packaging material suppliers.
Conduct packaging tests and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISTA and ASTM.
Create and maintain packaging part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOM) within the PLM system.
Support NPI projects and ensure the successful transition from development to mass production.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to resolve packaging-related issues.
Optimize packaging solutions to improve quality, logistics efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Ensure packaging designs meet customer specifications and transportation requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging design and development.
Experience in packaging design for servers, racks, data center equipment, or related products is highly preferred.
Familiarity with packaging materials and packaging validation standards, including ISTA and ASTM.
Experience with PLM systems and BOM management.
Proficient in 2D engineering drawing and CAD software.
Strong knowledge of packaging testing, manufacturing processes, and logistics requirements.
English OR Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in a multinational working environment.
