Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to ensure that manufacturing activities meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements. This role involves close coordination with production, warehouse, and
purchasing teams to ensure the availability of materials, tools, and consumables. The planner also prepares and maintains Bills of Materials (BOM) for all product codes and continuously monitors actual progress against the plan to make timely adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, issue, and update production plan based on PO, inventory, and shipment schedules.
• Monitor daily production performance and compare actual output versus the production plan; identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure on-time availability of raw materials, tools, and consumables to support smooth production flow.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for all product codes that ensure accuracy and completeness
• Review and adjust plans in response to changes in delivery schedules, machine availability, manpower, or material constraints.
• Work closely with engineering to ensure that new or revised product data (e.g., BOM, cycle time) are correctly
• Follow up on purchase orders for production materials and tools, ensuring that suppliers deliver in accordance with required timelines.
• Analyze production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to optimize production efficiency and lead time.
• Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned by supervisors
• Bachelor's degree related field.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the precision mechanical or machining industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, BOM management, and material flow in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning tools.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
• English communication skills are required.
